Prepare your morning coffee in the modern rustic kitchen, enjoy a backyard fire, and take in the views of the ponderosas from the light-filled living room. Cozy up by the wood-burning stove or take a quick trip downtown or to Snowbowl. The Mountainaire community offers the ambience of a quiet mountain community just a short drive from all Flagstaff has to offer. Access to trails galore in the neighborhood!

Good to know

The home is a cozy A frame cabin. Downstairs features a queen size bed and the bathroom with all the essentials you would need for a quick getaway. Upstairs features a full size bed as well as a futon that can be folded into a full size bed as well. To access the upstairs you will use the spiral staircase as shown in our photos. For any other questions regarding the space just reach out to us we are more than happy to respond to any questions or concerns you may have prior to, during or after your trip!

Please remove shoes in the house :) One pet allowed with preapproval and pet fee. Thank you! Flagstaff is a dark sky city! We try to be respectful of this and our neighbors. Please enjoy the backyard ñ, but make sure to turn of any lights when not in active use. Please don’t use the string lights after 10pm.

Neighborhood

Just a short drive off of I-17, the Mountainaire community offers the ambience of a quiet mountain community just a short drive from all Flagstaff has to offer. Access to trails galore in the neighborhood! The roads are paved clear up until the driveway of the house.

Guest access

Guests will have access to the entire home and backyard! We do want to note that there is a tiny home on the lot that someone does live in full time. It is separated from the home and there is a fence between the backyard and the home. They won't be a bother and you most likely won't even know they are there!

I loved staying at the acorn house! Our host was extremely helpful and responded quickly when needed! The fire pit outside allowed us to make some s’mores for the night! 🤍 I would definitely recommend to anyone wishing to stay here. The decor was so pretty and unique!

We only stayed here for one night on Friday to beat the Saturday traffic from Phoenix to Sedona. And it was a great decision. No traffic from the cabin to Sedona. The area was beautiful and the cabin itself was charming. We loved the fact that we could use the fire place. It was still cold so fire helped us get warm and cozy. You can tell that it’s a place that the host built with love. It may not be the most modern or new but that’s the charm of it. The stairs to the loft bedroom seemed a bit perilous. But if you don’t wake up for bathroom, which is on the 1st floor, you’ll be fine :)
